Word problems

Today I had to do a word problem for my teacher, She said to choose on of the three she wrote down. My word problem and equation was.

Equation $34 x 200
If there are 34 Year 8 students at GIS and for the full uniform cost $200.00, How much money will it cost for all the students uniform all up
Answer= $2800.00

It was super easy because all I had to do was skip count in two hundreds thirty times, Then another four times. With the result of this I thought I answer was $2800.

ww1 letter

Peak camp, Egypt
April 1918

Dear Family
It is me I am writing a letter to you from the front line It’s not that bad we get average food meat for breakfast and dinner and for lunch we get army biscuits.

We live in trenches which I don’t particularly like but it is what keeps us covered. It is surrounded on the top by sandbags and barbed wire. It is very damp, muddy and filled with rats.

88 people have been wounded and 79 died this past week. It’s not usual for that to happen the Germans have stepped up their game. They got golden mortars, advanced sniper rifles and home made riot shields.

It is normally sunny but some mornings are misty and some of us say we can see our ghostly foes and at dawn and dusk when the skies are crimson.

I have been ranked up to general the highest rank. I hope Marian sends me some chocolate, I have forgotten the taste. If I don’t make it back alive I want you to be happy at my funeral. I love you all, and my son kia kaha.

Trench's from WW1

rok
This is the trench model we made based on WW1. I worked with Wesley and Lorenzo. We made it out of play dough.

First we did research about trenches. Then drew our plan on a piece of paper. Then I started to construct it with play dough I had to make it by myself because my partners were absent. When we painted it my team members were there to help. The easy part about it was drawing it and the hardest was working with Wesley. Now my teacher thinks I cannot work in a team but a matter of fact I can but with the right people.
