Chef Alfonso

Yesterday Alfonso came to our school for our new topic. Our new topic is what is in a muffin. Alfonso has two daughters One named Manuwella and her little sister Sophia. Alfonso first told us the difference between a muffin and a cupcake. Then he told us his take on a good muffin recipe. He made sweet muffins, he added berries and walnuts. They were only for demonstration though. Only the teachers could eat them. I wish I was a teacher a eat them. We all paid attention and that night I went home and made some muffins. I added chocolate chips, raspberries, blueberries and few more ingredients it tasted nice.

Robin Williams

Robin Williams is a very well known person. I remember him best for Night at the Museum because he plays a funny role. He is one of my inspirations because he entertained people and starred in many famous films. He stars in Robots, Nght at the Museum, Happy Feet and many more. He also danced with my aunty when he came to new Zealand. He was a nice loyal person that everyone loves. I have seen many films of his. To me him and Ricky Gervais are the kings of comedy. According to my aunty he is one of the friendliest men on earth and people should look up to him.

Commonwealth Games medal count

 lets do work
I think New Zealand did very well in the Commonwealth games. They came 6th with 45 medals. Even though they had less than Australia and England we still would have come first because it took us less people to win one gold medal say for Example it took india nearly two million people to win a single medal compared to us with ten and a half thousand people per medal.

If I was a millionaire

Walt: write in paragraphs.

I want to be a millionaire so my nan can retire.

My reason for that so she doesn't have to worry about paying the bills, rent, tax, power, mechanic bills, gas and putting food on the table. My family is my life so I put them before me in any situation I am in. I will then buy my family a private house so the government cannot kick them out. Also I will get them funeral cover so in the future is if they get sick and die I know they will have a good funeral. Then I will take them to honolulu.

After I know they are covered I will put most of it in the bank and then spend the rest. I would buy a new pair of shoes, a samsung galaxy s5, a xbox and a ps4.

It would be amazing It have a million dollars.

A holiday

Walt: Save towards a goal ( holiday )

Me and my cuz

I played a game with Haarera to learn words that are useful when talking about using money. The new words I learnt was were consumer and budget. I used the definition sheet to learn these words. I was familiar with the word loan, saving, spending, interest, trade off, decision, choices, needs, wants, costs, income, goods, profit and services.

I don’t really need to save to go on holiday since I have around 250 - 300k dollars.

Dental presentation

Mrs Wallbridge today I enjoyed your talks and I agree with some things you said. I learnt something new that there is around 750 different identified germs in your mouth. I am going to suggest to family to buy floss more often. I was interested in what you were saying about flossing and brushing your teeth. Also we did a research project on fluoride and I strongly disagree with your views on fluoride. I have found facts on many websites saying that fluoride is only good for your teeth not your body. That night I told my family about how many sugars are in a can of baked beans and they were shocked when the heard the answer.

A persuasive speech.

Walt: write a persuasive speech.

Mouth guards should always be worn while playing sports. A mouthguard helps absorb the shock experienced by a blow to the face which might otherwise result in an injury to the mouth or jaw. Mouthguards help prevent chips, cracks, knockouts and other impact-related injuries. Athletes who do not wear mouthguards are 60 times more likely to sustain damage to their teeth.

Wearing a mouthguard is vital .Biting down on a mouth guard helps keep your jaw in place during impact Mouthguards save you losing from a tooth or even better your jaw. Basically wearing a mouthguard can toughen you up mentally. Mouthguards should be included in school stationery packs save buying one separately.

Mouthguards impair normal breathing in some way. Some studies have shown this induces a mild hypoxia which is a good thing.

Mouthguards should be included in school stationery packs save buying one separately. It would be cheaper than buying a dear one from the rebel sports or other places. Wearing a mouthguard and getting tackled is better than wearing no mouthguard and losing a tooth.

Most people would agree that you do need a mouthguard while playing contact sports. Mouthguards saves you having to get golden false teeth

Basic facts
